Qatari child hurt in tiger attack at Doha circus

A little Qatari boy was seriously injured after he was attacked by a tiger at a circus being held in the capital Doha, a newspaper in the Gulf country reported on Sunday.

The unnamed boy has just bought ice cream and was returning to his father in the massive circus tent when the tiger suddenly rushed and jumped on him despite attempts by his female trainer to restrain the animal.

“The tiger nearly devoured the boy…but he was saved in the last minute by the trainer and several workers in the circus…the boy was rushed to hospital, where he will have a surgery,” Sharq daily said without specifying the boy’s age.
