Unknown men kidnapped a Saudi businessman just as he arrived in Abuja airport in the African country and are demanding $150 million ransom to release him, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Saturday.

Hamdan bin Tawalah had contacted his own captors and asked them to wait for him at the airport on Sunday to do business together as he had not known they belong to a gang seeking to kidnap him for ransom, Okaz said, quoting Saudi Ambassador in Nigeria Khaled Omar Abedrabbo.

“After they received him, they took him in their car and headed for an unknown destination,” the Ambassador said.

'Okaz' quoted the captive’s brother, Mohammed bin Tawalah, as saying he had been in touch with his brother, who toLd him the captors are demanding $150 million to free their captive. “He told me he is in a good condition and he calls me almost every day from the apartment where he is being held,” he said.
