Saudi captures dramatic lightning strike

A Saudi newspaper on Sunday published a short film showing lightning on top of a mountain in the Gulf Kingdom, as if a volcano had erupted in the middle of the night.

‘Sada’ said it obtained the film from Nasser Al Shadwi, who said he was with his friends on a hill at that night when they saw the phenomenon.

“It was for a short of time, but it happened six times. We managed to capture this exciting incident. It exactly looked like a volcano erupting on top of a mountain at night,” said Shadwi, a resident of the southern town of Baha.
