Yemen allies set up joint operations room to seize Taiz

Arab coalition forces and Yemen’s resistance have set up a joint operations room to coordinate the war effort to liberate the Southwestern Taiz governorate from the Houthis and their allies, a UAE newspaper reported on Friday.
 
“This room will largely facilitate the military operations and ensure better results,” ‘Al Bayan’ said, quoting Brigadier Sadeq Serhan, head of Taiz military council.
 
He said the room would coordinate military operations between the allies in Taiz and with the coalition command in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
 
‘Al Bayan’, meanwhile, quoted military sources as saying the coalition jets dropped more weapons to the national resistance in Taiz on Thursday in preparation for the final battle to totally liberate the city from the Iranian-backed Houthis and their allies.
 
“This operation is the second in a week and was successful…it involved the dropping of advanced weapons to the resistance and the national army,” a source said.
