Sheena Bora murder: Indrani's threat

The epicenter of the Sheena Bora murder case investigation, the Khar Police Station looked sad and desolate. Not just because Rakesh Maria wasn't coming there, but the investigation too seemed to have reached its fag end. The cacophony of the noises emanated by the media vans, the constant moving of vehicles and a lot of curious passers-by was missing on Friday.

Between Tuesday morning and Friday, it just seemed like another routine case, like how the state government wants it to be, which said that all cases will be given equal importance, or in this case, it will not be given that much importance.

The police investigating the case seem to have lost the energy and enthusiasm they showed earlier. And yes, they were getting to sleep as well now that Indrani and others accused are in prison.

However, they are determined to work. The cops did recover a threatening email sent by Indrani to her children Sheena and Mikhail a month before Sheena was killed, telling them to stop being smart else their pocket allowance would be stopped.

In other news, Mikhail, Indrani’s son gave an interview where he confessed that he was given a house in Gurgaon in 2011 and then he didn't react to Indrani’s email because he was unemployed and didn't want to lose his money. He also kept quiet later and didn't ask anything about Sheena to Indrani because he was told that the money being sent to his grandparents will stop.

Mikhail said that Peter did know that Sheena was Indrani’s daughter. He also said that he was in rehab for alcoholism and Indrani’s ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna had once taken him there in 2004.

Cracking Indrani’s G-mail account was a big break for cops. However, a few questions will still remain unanswered such as the motive and the money trail. When Maria was on that trail, he was shunted out.
