UAE petrol prices lower in September: Energy minister

Petrol prices will be lower in September when a new monthly pricing system is announced following a government decision to lift long-standing subsidies on fuel, the UAE’s energy minister said in remarks published on Wednesday.

“We expect gasoline and diesel prices for September to be lower than in August,” he said on his Twitter page, according to the Dubai-based daily ‘Emarat Al Youm’.

He said the new monthly price formula for petrol and diesel for September would be announced on August 27.
