Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani's new Mumbai home, Antilia, has made headlines yet again.

This time for the power bill that the high-rise mansion has generated. Apparently, in one month alone, since Ambani and his family moved in, has generated a power bill of Rs 7,069,488. The house has been built at a cost of $1 billion.

It is the highest residential electricity bill geenrated in Mumbai till date.

In September, Antilia consumed 6,37,240 units of power. To put it in perspective, an average household equipped with all electronic amenities consumes 300 units per month, claimed a report in The Times of India.

Ambani was offered a discount of Rs48,354 for prompt payment, so the actual bill is much higher than the Rs7 million that he finally paid.

Experts say it's is roughly equivalent to the monthly power bill of 7,000 homes!
