Intruder with no clothes cooks eggs in kitchen

Published

A homeowner was shocked to see that a strange man was inside his home and cooking eggs in his kitchen with no clothes on, according to police reports in Canada.

Vancouver Police said that a local man has had a bit of a rude awakening last night when he found the naked stranger.

The intruder had just taken a shower and apparently was preparing something to eat when he was discovered around 7:00 pm local time in the kitchen, according to police.

The intruder fled when the owner confronted him, but shortly after the incident, police detained a naked man, 30-years-old, near Trout Lake.

"We thought he was high at the time," Vancouver Police Constable Brian Montague said.

Police are recommending that the suspect be charged with unlawful occupation of a home.

“The incident highlights the need for homeowners to be careful about leaving doors and windows open during the hot summer weather,” Montague said, noting that 400 of 1,157 home thefts this year showed no sign of forced entry.

"If you lock all your doors and shut all your windows it would not be that easy for someone to enter your home," he added.
