Shrimp fishermen in the Gulf of Mexico caught a rare goblin shark recently.

"I didn't even know what it was," lifetime fisherman Carl Moore told the Houston Chronicle.

"I didn't get the tape measure out because that thing's got some wicked teeth, they could do some damage."

The create was thrown back into the water, but was captured in pictures.

According to the report, most goblin sharks are found off Japan or in the Indian Ocean and around South Africa. The sharks usually live in the oceans at a depth of around 100m.
