Driver killed after ramming into mad horse

A 27-year-old Saudi driver was killed after ramming into a mad horse that had shot out of a stable in a horse market in the Gulf kingdom.

Zaki Mohammed Al Harbi was driving back home late night late last month when a horse suddenly jumped on the road in the eastern province of Ihsa.

“The accident resulted in a fracture in Harbi’s backbone and injuries in other parts of his body…he underwent a surgery at hospital and stayed there for 15 days until he died on Wednesday,” Ihsa daily said.

Harbi was among hundreds of Saudi bridegrooms who tied the knot in a mass wedding in the province early this year. He is survived by his wife and a nine-month-old daughter.
