South Africa were at 111 for the loss of three wickets when bad light suspended the day's play. The game is delicately poised, with the Proteas chasing a target of 303 runs for a series win against India.

Earlier today, India were all out for 228 in their second innings, a lead of 302, on the third day of the second test against South Africa at Kingsmead on Tuesday.

India 205 (Vangipurappu Laxman 38, Mahendra Singh Dhoni 35; Dale Steyn six for 50) and 228 (Vangipurappu Laxman 96; Morne Morkel three for 47, Lonwabo Tsotsobe three for 43).
