Borini out opens Liverpool door for Torres, Walcott…

This news may Liverpool with only one striker now, but then again, it may be a blessing in disguise, forcing Brendan Rodgers to make a January move for one if not two more striking options.

Liverpool’s Italian forward Fabio Borini has suffered a fracture to his right foot.

Rodgers now has only one recognised striker in Luis Suarez.

Borini, who Rodgers signed for Liverpool from Roma for £11million, was injured in training for his country’s European Under-21 Championship qualifier against Sweden.

The question really is, which striker will Rodgers move for?

Theo Walcott’s future is very much in doubt at the Emirates with ArsenalArsenal Kop Walcott an Emirates ticket to Liverpool.

There is the chance that Fernando Torres may be used as a bench player by Chelsea if they bring in Neymar in January Chelsea load French Bullet to shoot Torres... to Liverpool.

However, there is also the possibility of Nani at Manchester United.

The Portuguese winger is looking increasingly out of favour with Sir Alex Ferguson and Rodgers might well offer the winger the chance to keep his Premier League career alive.

Whatever the option, it is going to take a bold move by Rodgers come January to keep the Liverpool revolution on track.
