Fifa World Cup 2014 trophy to be showcased in Kuwait, Oman this week

It’s a good new for the soccer fan in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Oman. The 2014 Fifa World Cup Winners Trophy will be showcased there in the coming weeks, giving a life-time opportunity to the football aficionados to take a photograph with the gold trophy.

Weighing approximately 4.5kg, the trophy will be showcased in Kuwait on April 3rd and in Oman on April 4th.

The trophy was on display at the Dubai Mall from Friday till Sunday where more than 3,000 residents and tourists took photographs with it in just two days.

The trophy will be brought back to the UAE for display on April 7 when it will be showcased in Abu Dhabi, said Visa officials. Visa is the global partner of Fifa World Cup.

The trophy will be given to the football world cup winner taking place in Brazil next year.

This is the second time that the trophy has been brought to this part of the world. The much-coveted trophy was brought here in 2009 also.
