IPL: Dhoni's Supergiants win by 19 runs (D/L method)

The match has been called off and Supergiants have been awarded the tie by 19 runs via Dukworth-Lewis.

With this defeat Delhi are on 12 points from 12 matches while Pune are on 8 points from 13 matches.

Rain interrupts play again. This time its a heavy downpour. The covers are back on.

Delhi Daredevils innings

Rising Pune Supergiants' Ashoke Dinda and Adam Zampa bagged three wickets each but Chris Morris' late blitz enabled Delhi post a decent 121 for 6 in what is a crucial match for the Daredevils to win if they are to have any hopes of making the Playoffs.

Dinda finished with 3 for 19 and Zampa with 3 for 21 to choke Delhi but Chris Morris blasted 22 runs in the 20th over off Thisera Perera to give the Delhi bowlers something to defend.

Duminy goes on the off side to find the gap on leg but Irfan Pathan takes a good catch at short fine leg. DD 99-6, 19 overs.

Zampa is on a roll getting his third wicket and that of Karun Nair who was looking good. DD 73-5. 15 overs.

Zampa strikes again. A googly and Pant is unable to read the wrong one and tries to hit him out of the ground but scoops it high to Perera. DD 68-4, 14 overs.

Zampa gets the breakthrough in his first over to end a 24-run partnership after he foxed Samson with a leg-cutter. The batsman charged out but was beaten and Dhoni did the rest. DD 54-3, 11 overs.

Pune are right on top of this game so far although Karun Nair is trying to break the shackles for Delhi. DD 32-2, 8 overs. 

Shreyas Iyer flops again, tries a hook shot off Dinda and skies t to Khawaja. DD 25-2, 5 overs.

His counterpart Zaheer Khan makes three changes. Coulter Nile, Shami and Shreyas make a comeback while Mayank Agarwal, Imran Tahir and Shahbaz Nadeem are left out.

Delhi Daredevils will be looking to bounce back and earn a crucial win when they take on Rising Pune Supergiants in Match 49 of IPL9 at ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

RPS will be playing for pride lying at the bottom of the pile.

DD have 12 points from 11 matches and need to win at least two of their remaining three matches to stand a chance of finishing among the top four.

In the one meeting between RPS and DD earlier this season, RPS won by seven wickets.
