Dubai Police Honors Taxi Driver Who Returned Valuable Items Belonging to Tourist

The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police honored Mr. Sultan Sikandar Muhammad, a taxi driver with Uber, who found a valuable item and ensured its safe return to its owner by handing it over to the Tourism Police Department.

Brigadier Harib Mohammed Al Shamsi, Director of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation, stated that the honor bestowed upon the driver reflects his honesty and embodies the noble values that society prides itself on. He emphasized Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to recognizing community members for their integrity and efforts in returning lost items to their rightful owners, contributing to the positive image of safety and security in the UAE.

Brigadier Al Shamsi urged community members to take Sultan Sikandar Muhammad as a role model for honesty and integrity. He also highlighted the smart lost and found service available at the Smart Police Stations (SPS) on the beaches, which facilitates the process of returning found items to their owners after they report them missing.

For his part, Sultan Sikandar Muhammad expressed his gratitude to Dubai Police for their initiative to honor him, noting that the recognition serves as a motivation for everyone to uphold the importance of honesty and returning lost items to their owners.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Lt. Col. Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Acting Deputy Director of the Tourism Police Department, and Captain Shehab Al Saadi, Head of the Tourist Happiness Section.
