Baby survives after driver ploughs into pram

A Croatian father's paternal instincts took over as he selflessly pushed his baby's pram out of the path of a speeding car.

With only moments to react, a man desperately hurls his child's pram out of the way as a speeding car careens across the footpath.

Despite his prompt actions both the man and pram are hit by the vehicle.

Fortunately the child only sustained minor injuries.

The 46-year old driver who had a blood alcohol content reading of 0.199 crawled from the window of the vehicle, allegedly unaware he had hit the pair.
