Brave owner defends jewellery store from violent attacker

A video shows the attempted robbing of a jewellery store in the Algerian capital Algiers, in the area of Dali Ibrahim.

The video was taken by the surveillance camera at the store.

The video shows the owner of the shop defending himself and preventing the robbery and the thief not surrendering and trying to kill the shop owner.

A police investigation was able to determine the identity of the thief and he was arrested within a few hours of committing the crime.

He was identified as a 23-year old with no criminal record.

The accused did not expect such strong resistance from the shop owner.
