A Saudi man gulped two bottles of petrol as he was watched by his family at home, triggering criticism by viewers of the film.
The film, published by ‘Sada’ newspaper, showed the man dipping a piece of cloth into the bottles and lighting it to prove that they contained gasoline.
He then poured the two bottles into his belly as voices of his children were heard in the background at his home in the eastern Saudi province of Ihsa.
‘Sada’ said some viewers described the man as lunatic while others doubted the bottles contained petrol.
Other viewers slammed the man on the grounds he would encourage others, including children, to drink petrol.
